Environmental energy controls successfully won the prestigious Edinburgh city centre contract for the controls relating to the primary energy centre

Environmental Energy Controls tendered and won the complete controls HVAC upgrade for Great Dunfell radar station. With a world-leading team of designers and consultants, Edinburgh’s St James Quarter is building in optimum energy efficiency and reducing embodied carbon from the start, to deliver a scheme that meets and exceeds international sustainability standards and best practice.

It uses real data from existing projects to inform best-in-class design. An energy centre and a District Heating scheme that will provide hot water and heat to surrounding dwellings and neighbourhoods, is enhancing St James Quarter’s sustainability credentials.

Using the latest Trdium Niagara framework and IO modules with many supplied control panels the project was successfully completed to the design set. A command centre using five separate displays was also configured to allow for the best possible monitoring and control of the installed system.
